comcast again

Post by renovation »

there system here is really bad this weekend .
there server is junk i keep loosing signal and they said yesterday they just found out about it in my area like at 9 am. it seem to work better later in the day. now again today i keep loosing signal . those who live in my sub are mostly screwed unless you live on the lake. then you can get a dish for TV. its nice to live in a wooded area except for trying to get a satellite signal . unless you use a dial up /dsl service for INTERNET.
i can only dream of the day i maybe able to get a better INTERNET provider and TV service.
i will say even in the days of rabbit ears on TV . you had to erect a tower and install a antenna with a big boom system .to get more then 2-3 local channels on your tv. we also had restricions on hight due to being semi close to a airport and flight path .
the Last time I was Talking to myself . I got into such a heated argument . that is why I swore I never talk to that guy again. you know what it worked now no buddy talking to me. :help

I lost connection with Charter for the first time in 7 years last week. It was almost unbearable. I didn't realize how many things I did were connected to either cable or the internet. Ended up finally starting to play Crysis (actually have the DVD).

I've had Verizon DSL here since I moved in a little less than a year ago, it's been ok but nowhere near as fast as the Comcast cable I had before. Now Verizon just sold all of their copper in WV to Frontier, which is like putting the Nigerian Government in charge of the oil spill. Somehow they got approval for Frontier to take everything (including unfunded pension liabilities) with Frotnier ending up like 3 $BN in the hole. Go figure. I had Frontier DSL for a while a few years ago, after I finally convinced them that they did provide service to my house (according to their maps, they did not offer service on my road, including the subdivision across the street where many folk already had DSL from them. Comcast cable stops about 1/4 my road down atm.

If they ever get the lines run this far, I would get their business class - which we have at work and supports nearly 20 users. A little pricey but reliable clean 5 -10 megs down with no throttling.
