Saw it in the IMAX version today, and man what a difference in the sound and picture effects. Don't ever recall paying twice to see a movie, but on the large screen with the visual effects, its a must before it leaves the theaters.

Yeah, that trailer with Johnny Depp looked awesome also in 3D. A great flick to see stoned and a little drunk LOL.

I know I'm late to the game, but the wife and I saw this today in 3D. I almost didn't see it in 3D because I didn't think I would enjoy it that way. Pleasantly surprised to see 3D DONE RIGHT for a change. Nothing was over-done or in-your-face. 3D wasn't used as a trick or a gag, just to enhance the experience.

Stunning movie on the scale of Gone With The Wind.

Yeah, Alice in Wonderland in 3D with Johnny Depp looks like it's going to be seriously fun as well.

Forgot to mention that I checked it out Friday.

IMO, the 3D though neat, kinda lost it's appeal after about 30 minutes. Not like it was annoying, but I just didn't feel that it added much to the movie after all was done. I'm gonna have to see it 2D to see if I feel the same. Also, I didn't like the excessive blurring of the background that they did to make the 3D objects stand out. Felt kinda forced.

That said, the movie itself was pretty good. Better than I expected. I had heard that it was Dances with Wolves in the future & sure enough, it was (actually, it kind of felt like Final Fantasy-The Spirits Within crossed with Dances with Wolves). However, in it's own way that was good since Dances with Wolves was a captivating story. It certainly won't win any awards for acting or story (heh, that's already been determined), but it was enjoyable & had tons of eye candy.

I thought it was more like pocahontas in space.

I think it was a good movie, but hardly deserves to be the best seller of all time. The hype machine was working overtime.

Yeah, I can see Pocahontas as well.
