BTW I think you guys are missing part of the story.

To me it's not just about evil humans (and the part about a weapons company wanting to exploit the aliens for their tech is totally believable to me). But it's also about the exploitation of the aliens by their own.

There were only 2 aliens (and a child) that were actually intelligent leaders. The rest were dumb worker drones. They were used by their leaders as a diversion for 20 years so the leaders could hide and rebuild their control module, then the workers were sacrificed and left behind by the leaders while they made their getaway.

The leader at the end didn't much care about humans abusing or killing any of his fellow aliens except the one other intelligent one (I got the impression it may have been it's mate).

Lots of levels to this movie if you analyze it.

finally saw it tonight...loved it. the first half was pretty slow, but it was a GOOD slow.

very original and i enjoyed it from start to finish.

That's how I feel. I've "viewed" and gone to see a lot of movies alone because nobody else was interested in them.

I have a friend who if he hates a movie, I make sure to watch it. We have such different styles.
