Plus the XFX 260 Core edition, the Thermaltake 700w PSU and Antec 900 case that Ive already bought. Man I cant wait to get this rig put together. I figure it should scream!! I will probably tackle it this weekend since I have my kids this week and I dont want to take time away from them to tinker with this. I will post a complete build log with tons of pics.

No sir. 12 gigs it is. Im in school so I do alot of stuff running multiple VM's so the ram will help with that. Plus this is first new build in like 4 years so I decided to go big

great system. as far as ultimate benchmark performance, the reviews i've seen comparing various RAM configs showed anything over 4GB = slower. the system has to manage the memory space, which takes up resources, etc. of course, this was just for gaming. things like VMs eat it up...who cares about the 1% or less loss of performance.
