Knowing

Post by Executioner »

Saw this with the wife tonight, and it was not what I expected. According to IMDb:
A teacher opens a time capsule that has been dug up at his son's elementary school; in it are some chilling predictions -- some that have already occurred and others that are about to -- that lead him to believe his family plays a role in the events that are about to unfold.
Some of the special effects like the plan crash made you grip your chair, and also the subway crash. The 2½ hours of this movie made it seem like only one hour as I was not bored one bit throughout the movie. In the end, solar flare strikes Earth and incinerates all life on the planet. Makes you wonder if this is how the dinosaurs ended their life here on earth. The ending is perhaps the most intriguing part of the film. Adam and Eve. Genesis. The beginning of life all over again. I'm sure most will either hate this film or love it.

anti-theists will hate it for its biblical similarities. the children seeing the future, the adam and eve scene, aliens with inherently angelic features and what basically amounts to "the rapture". bible thumpers will hate it because instead of god its aliens.

you cant please everyone i give this movie a 7 of 10 for intrigue!
