A lot of people swear by Crucial, but I rarely buy from them.. But their app to determine what kind of memory and how much will fit your PC is nifty haha.. I would say my top three memory companies are Kingston, Corsair and Geil.

Never had a problem. I just ordered 12 sticks for a business client and installed them today with no issues.
Then again, with the margin on RAM prices so thin, and everyone laying employees of, I suppose quality is down overall everywhere.
Reno. Did you order the specific RAM for your mobo, and not just generic RAM? If you order the generic stuff then you can have timing issues.
Also be aware that many things can cause memory to fail a memory test. A bad or overheating Northbridge for example, or a defective PCI card.

i order it for the board right off there site . one stick is running the unit .the bad stick send off warning beeps as i fire up the computer if installed. glad i only order 2 sticks and not 4 like i thought about for a moment. that would of even more fun trying to figure out what stick was bad ! and running xp there was no need anyway becouse of max readablity.FlyingPenguin wrote:

You did swap the two sticks to make sure it wouldn't work with the other one by itself, right? Because it could also be a dual memory channel stability issue (in which case it would work fine with either stick by itself, but not with both sticks).

I think like many products cost cutting is starting to show up in many products . this is just one more item like i said .the circuit board on this ram seem thinner and lighter then past chips i have seen or used. even in budget brand no name ram. and im thinking this is just the start of things to come out to market.
