Started watching the game. What is sad is my 3g service right now is twice as fast as the hotel's wifi...

So the sling box is to go from video/tuner/whatever input to digital output to watch on a PC/phone/whatever?
I thought it was to go from PC to TV...

I thought it was to go from PC to TV...
No, it receives from a satellite or cable box to ANY PC, MAC (and some cell phones) ANYWHERE in the world. It even transmits your DVR or TIVO movies and it's controlled from the remote PC too.

The sling catcher goes from PC to TV, or Slingbox to TV somewhere else (say your home to the hotel)

I never used one.
They are a little costly ($300)
I would like to try one in the hotel hooked to my slingbox at home to see how good it workes

It is more for the people that rather not watch from a computer.
But it can also play videos from USB and it can play online videos on a TV, like hulu.com etc

And it probably wont crash like a computer and will be easy to use when compared to a computer.
