This article mentions a great site that is full of info on bypassing the "out of toner" sensor on laser printers to allow you to keep printing: http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/

Well, my printer did worst to me.
It is saying "can not print"
I want to go Office space on it.
I did buy a new one, higher end
I bought this one from Amazon (in transit now) for $239

Big suprise there. Printer manufacturers are the sleaziest part of the computer industry IMO. I have a Ricoh gel printer & it's pretty expensive & it absolutely won't allow me to print without replacing the single cartridge that's "out". Even if it's not a color I need. That's what I get for using a printer that is odd technology.
I picked up a used and abused HP CLJ 4500. It had good toner but the fuser and belt were about consumed, and it had exploded (toner all over the insides) So with some compressed air and some fixin I got it working nicely. It too does the thing with needing stuff, but you can tell it to ignore it and keep going. I later found a busted duplexer that i got for free. the cover is missing and one roller, but it was just a guide roller that i replaced with a short "flap" to make the paper go where its supposed to.
If I can find another one I will do it again.

I bought your HP Laserjet 2600n a few months ago. I hope that it will not do that when it gets low. Here at work at my desk, I have a HP1320n and it now indicates that my printer cartridge has only 15% left, but I'm still able to print. I'll be pissed off if it reaches 0% and refuses to print.eGoCeNTRoNiX wrote:I have a Samsung ML-2010 and I'm lovin' it! I also have a Color Laser for when I need color.. Traditionally HP laser printers keep printing even after they tell you the toner is low. I hope they don't change that.
I'm cheap. The laser starts looking low, I shake the toner cartridge and usually get another 3 months out of it.
I hate Brother printers because they stop working when they think the printer is low or when they think the drum is worn out.
