New Car Time
Due to a current situation with my financing on my 06 Scion xB it is going bye bye..
so needed a new car..
Went to the lot and ask for the greatest vehical known to man.
They where all out of 1972 International Scouts. sold the last one..... yeah well a long time ago.
So.. We got a 2002 Silver Mustang V6.
Wife's happy.. loves it.. I don't care either way.. a car.. is a car.. Toaster was fun but with my knee getting worse daily the clutch was getting to feel like I was shifting a 1972 International school bus.
pics to come..
it's silver.. it's stock.. it's fa.... wait.. I haven't got to drive it yet.. I'll get back to you.

I've been thinking about picking up a 1968 Corvette from a guy here at work. The car is in mint condition with 65,000 original miles on it. The motor is the original that matches the VIN plate. It's a 327 cu in black. Everything in the car is original including the floor mats. The guys is looking for $27,000. Don't know if that is a good price or not (high/low).
congrats!

No.. really a jab at MidnightSin.
I can't count the hours of lecture on the greatness of the International Scout and anything ever made by the International Harvester Company (from a combine to a M1.. The Scout and the School Bus.. MidnightSin is a fan through and through)
If I see the name "International" I think MidnightSin. (thus pictures of the Green Scout I posted a while back)
Oddly.. I miss Him.. freaking weirdo.

Huh? Please do not confuse my Bertha with some cross breed wannabe SUV.normalicy wrote:Hey, I like International Harvesters too. Though, it's mostly because of their strong link to Jeeps.
Currently own a 78 Scout II and a 74 Scout II. And Most Bus's I have found have 392's in them. Both of mine have the 345 and I have a 392 setting on a stand in the garrage awaiting some TLC before slipping into the wife's 74.
Have had 7 Scout's over the years and have driven my 78 everyday now for just about 12 years. I traded a 1.3 gig WD drive for it back when that drive was big.

Bertha is the biggest and baddest thing there is. She has not found a dirt road.. cotton field or highway she couldn't conquer at will. She requires special love and care. Don't lean on the doors when you drive you never know when they will fly open at 60 on the loop. Bertha is Midnight Sin's 4th Child.
I rode in Bertha one day.. and helped with a bit of TLC in Mindight Sin's Inlaw's driveway after a slight wiring issue. She is Bertha.. Big.. Orange.. and awesome.
Need to get some good pics of the Mustang. Digital Camera died a while back.. going to shoot some with the Iphone I think today when we are @ the Diamondbacks game.
so.. just remember.. Bertha > you name it.
PS.. I have seen him throw all 3 of his Hooplet's in there to drop on at school on the way to work.. so it is a School Bus.. of the awesome kind.
