Norton Internet Security

Is Norton Internet Security 2008 worth installing? I heard it can severely lower the speed of your computer.

Norton is a major resource hog and very slow. You may want to check out Avast or AVG Antivirus. Both are free. For paid AV, I recommend Kaspersky or NOD32.

Norton is like owning a Hummer. It may seem cool for a moment, then you realize how big and bulky it is, gas for it becomes too much, and you can never manage to park it right.
When all else fails, replace the user.

I think everything has been said, so I'll just say ditto. Ditched Norton about 3 years ago & haven't looked back. AVG is my friend.
