Reno - 4 WD (this is WV after all!) It is the base model with 6 cyl. and the towing prep (bigger radiator, alternator, heavied up etc.) plus some useless stuff that came in that trim package. I does have the autocrawl up/down steep hills. You can lock it down manually into 4wd in low for exploring the hills. Price was about $25.5 out the door (tax, tags, xtra warranty, everything). Did the Consumer Report thing and that came to about 4% over dealer cost as far as I could figure. Unfortunately they haven't offered any incentives on this model in a long time, they go right out the door. I did get the 3 year bumper to bumper add on warranty for $1395 so I have 6 years of bumper to bumper. Figured with the price of all those imported parts it made sense. Got a 5 yr @ 6.9%. It's got the 3.5 L 269 hp V-6 that they pulled from the Avalon sedan, which makes it a mini-rocket. According to the car mags, this is the fastest thing Toyota makes.
At 70 mph it's pulling 2000 rpm in 5th.

The buying part was actually pretty easy. Went by the dealer a couple of times, test drove 4 and 6 cyl., researched what I wanted and told them. Had a salesman that was an old bird like me who understood what I was doing. I told him to give me his best price, which I would then shop. His price was good. All had to do was find one that didn't have all the junk installed.

When I picked up the car last night, after I did all the money stuff, he couldn't find the keys. He had set them down somewhere in the showroom. I said, "brother, that's what happens when you get old." He laughed. WE finally found them after about 10 mins.

all in all pretty easy deal.....
