wow...glad she is ok, man. looks like airbags went off in both cars too. what happened? they both look like nearly identical nissans!. from the first pic it looks like the car on the right was turning and the other was just going straight on the street.
good to hear she's ok.. now.. get the insuarce to total it. then let them pay you off. and then buy it back.. and sell it off in pieces.. yeah front end damage. but the other 2/3's of the car is good.. and tires/wheels.. interior..
and then. buy her a 1979 International Scout II.. just ask Midnight Sin.. he rolled over a car.. then had another accident.. scrached his push bar.. but did almost 2k in damage to the Montero..
ohh and if you see a Black Sands Pearl Scion xB (Toaster).. thats me.. get the hell outta the way..
Just because I am an a$$hole.. doesn't mean I don't care..
Actually there is probably alot less damage there then you think. A good body shop no days can work wonders. The thing about the newer model cars is they are actually built to crumple like that. My foster Dad has owned a body shop for over 20 years now and I have seen him perform some truly amazing rebuilds. His 2005 Z71 4 door was bought after the sells rep rolled it on a demo drive. the roof was a total pancake. Pop replaced the roof and one quarter panel and seriously there is no way to tell it had ever been rolled wothout an xray machine.
But yeah Qui's right in my 78 scout II I went up the passenger side fender... across the windshield and hood....and down the driverside fender on a Honda accord. Did $6500.00 worth of damage to her car and broke a leaf spring bolt on my truck. All that at 45mph. the slammed a Monterro Sport in the driverside right front fender about 2 months ago useing the dead center of my push bumper at 35mph. totally trashed her front fender, bumper, hood, and headlight for around a $2500.00 estimate while placeing a quarter size scratch in the crome on my bumper.
dont look like a total to me . major body damage but if the unibody is fine -i bet the insurance company will order it repaired .hope you have good coverage .so you dont end up with after marker parts or used .alot of companys are ordering them be used when ever possible .this has been going on for years
the Last time I was Talking to myself . I got into such a heated argument . that is why I swore I never talk to that guy again. you know what it worked now no buddy talking to me.
Well, the rental guy (he does insurance stuff on the side) said it is a total, and the tow truck guy that picked it up today said it looks like a total as well.....
"I'm seriously going to pummel you until you purr like a bitch-kitten!!"
What year is the car? Jaden rear ended somebody a while back and did identical damage and they didn't total her car out and it's a 2000 Altima. I think the reason they're telling you it's a total is because the airbags deployed, I have heard that a lot of the times if the airbags deploy they will total it, but it certainly isn't always the case. As long as the repairs don't amount to more than 75% of the cars value it shouldn't be a total..

heh...... It could happen.... I have always loved the fact that a combine has the right of way on the roads in Texas. Polite farmers tend to pull to the side for traffic but in acordance with the law the traffic is really the ones required to pull to the side.
