Now you got me worried. I think the only options in the boot are:
CD rom
removable
hdd
network
wouldnt be removable would it? Maybe after I install the card it will show up.

On some systems you just leave it set to HDD and as long as there's no drive connected to the onboard it'll boot from the add-on card.
No worries - I've never seen a mobo that wouldn't work with an add-on card.

Well installed the card-drivers-shutdown-plugged the drive into card-worked for about 5 min-BSOD.
Oh well, reinstalled xp/sp2 and everything is working like a champ. Should have all my shares up tonight. The bios actually showed "sataII 150" so boot options were no issue. Ended up with 235gb when all was said and done with windows. Now I can pull the box of cds out of the attic and rip some more dvds to my shares.
