I'm finally deciding do go 939. I already have a mobo picked out, and I know that both of these procs are compatible.
I want to know which would be the better bang for the buck?
AMD Athlon 64 3700+
Or
AMD Opteron 148
Both run at the same speed. Both have the same cache. Both have the same FSB. But I've heard a lot of things about Opterons being better. Which would you choose?
Athlon 64 3700+ or Opteron 148?

Opterons are suppose to be the hand picked cpu's from AMD. Something about better silicon I think.
I have a 165 clocked at 1.8 oc'd to 2.4. But I know it can do even more with a better oc'ing mobo.
Better resale value for the opteron, if that matters.
