anything in the expensive part of ASUS like the Premium, or a gigabite board are still good.
Athlon 4400 X2, @ 2.5Ghz, 1.375v validation
Corsair 3200C2 2.5-3-3-6 @ 1T Twinx 2GB,
Nvidia 7800GTX 256MB XFX @ 467/1.28,
A8N Sli Premium ASUS,
250GB Maxtor Maxline 3,
Sound Blaster Audigy 2ZS.

3DMark05 = 8434

I have had nothing but good experience with my asus (a8n sli deluxe) overclocks like a dream with the 1006 bios (winchester 3000+@2.46ghz). The only gripe I have is the chipset fan is a little loud for my taste. The premium is nice but the sli x16 is probably the best out of the three (full speed pci-e with sli)

Using a ASRock Dual Sata2 with an opteron 165 oc'd to 2.4 and all so far has been very stable. This mobo not only has pci express, but also agp. Got it when the egg had it for 65. They usually have it on sale once a week. Plus it is "suppose" to be upgradable to the new ma2 (or is it am2) platform.

Waiting for a msi neo platinum. DFI I hear is the best. But more moola.

Using a Epox EP-9NPAJ. Works great. Have been using Epox since my first XP computer. Have a 8RDA3+ that was my old PC running as my file server and its a tank.

My friend and I both have the ASRock Dual SATA2 and it works like a charm. He managed to overclock his Athlon 64 3000+, 400 mghz without having to raise any voltages. He also went from an AGP 9800 PRO to a PCI express 6800 GS with no problems.
