Lexmark z42

Post by impuresoul2k3 »

We have a Lexmark Z42 that will never print when you click the print on whatever program you are using, the only way to make it print is to push the power button on the front of the printer(to turn it off) and then turn it back on. Then it prints fine. Any ideas what could be wrong with it?

yes the POS needs to be replaced with a better grade of printer.it maybe just me but i wont let a lexmark printer come in a door of my home .there give aways printer when you buy a premade factory computer for like compusa or best buy as a package .cheap and disposable .
maybe the software needs to be reloaded for the POS !

It sounds like it might be a power management setting for USB devices or inthe printer itself. I have an X83 and it has to warm up before it will print anything.. Typically 30 seconds if it has been inactive for a while..

i concur with bellringer, buy a better printer not lexmark and you will save a fortune on ink in the long run.... lexmark printer = cheap, ink = expensive... it should always be the other way around.
