pretty dayem coolHe started playing piano and composing at age 5 and started playing guitar at age 10. At 14 he was playing Jazz, by 16 won an award for outstanding Jazz soloist on guitar, and at 19 became a session guitarist. He is from Chicago and has a B.A. in Music Theory and Composition from Northeastern Illinois University.

Saw that years ago, but even today it's still unusual. The hair style gives away the vintage of the video. He designed a quad a couple of years ago.
You need to be somewhat ambidextrous to play his guitars, tho'.
A rather unique guitarist I still enjoy is Stanley Jordan. He has a different tuning so he can play his fretboard like a piano. When I first heard him on Letterman's NBC show back in '84, I could swear I heard three guitars when I closed my eyes...and he was playing solo
