how to tell if a cable modem is going bad ?

is there a way to tell !
the Last time I was Talking to myself . I got into such a heated argument . that is why I swore I never talk to that guy again. you know what it worked now no buddy talking to me. :help

If you're having to reset it all the time to restore your connection and the cable company has confirmed that you have enough signal.

Or if it catches on fire. I kid you not, I had a client whose cable modem started smoking and then it caught on fire. Luckily, they were smart enough to unplug the damned thing. But before that, dropped connections, resets galore. Now I know how to tell if it's going bad ^^

we had one in the office that just dropped connections...had to argue with the cable company for a while and then they let me swap it out...end of problem
