New System Up and Rrunning.

System Specs:

MOBO: DFI LanParty NF3 250Gb S754
CPU: AMD Semptron 64 3400+ Palamero 2.0ghz
HSF: THERMALRIGHT XP-120 W/ Panaflow
HDD: SEAGATE 250GB SATA
RAM: KINGSTON 1024MB
GPU: NVIDA BFG GeForce 6600 GT OC
PSU: MGE XG VIGOR 500watt
LDD: BENQ DL DVD/CD -+R / RW
OS: WINDOWS XP PRO

Everything runs great; accept the CPU voltage is at 1.36 V which is way to low right?
Any guesses on what could be causing the trouble?

Also the CPU temperature is ranging around 47 C, but I have a good HSF (my fan is @114cfm) some of the reviews for this HSF say that they get 25 no load 39 load. Could I have done something wrong?

if your cpu voltage is set to "auto" and you are not having problems, i wouldn't mess with it.

also, what type of case are you using? the size/ airflow of the case and ambient room temps will affect your cpu temps. what kind of thermal grease/ adhesive are you using?

So you are saying that my voltages are fine?

I have a very good case. It has a giant (when i say giant i mean like the whole side) grill on the side. It has 6 case fans on it.

I am using Arctic Silver 5.

Now, is anyone willing to help me? here are my problems that I cannot solve:

1. CPU tempatures. I am running at 47C when I am using THERMALRIGHT XP-120 W/ Panaflow @114cfm and Arctic Silver 5.

2. My core CPU voltage is running at 1.34V the software that came with my mobo, has a red warning for that low voltages...

3. I am only getting mono audio. I have re-installed the audio driver twice, with no luck, checked the MOBO jumper settings, they are fine.

I have asked a couple tech forums, and a couple friends, with no luck so far. I would really like an answer, as i would like to turn down my fan speed with out worring about cooking my CPU...

for your temerature problem, perhaps that hsf isnt all that good. ive got a thermaltake heatpipe 101 with the stock white paste and i get temps not much higher than 37c with a 90 mm fan at slow speed with the cpu at full load. with your power problem i would check the voltage in the bios instead if its low maybe you need better psu. the sound hmmm maybe your output jack is damaged.

does your bios detect your CPU correctly? does it show you on POST screen the exact CPU that is in there?
if it does not, then it could be giving you inaccurate readings for vcore and temps. i know a lot of board makers had to put up bios updates for the semprons when they came out.

also, for the sound, if your system shows it is outputting in stereo, try some different jacks, headphones, speakers, etc. and see if there are any difference.

if it's onboard sound, look in the bios and see if everything looks ok.

#1 Onboard temp monitors are notoriously unreliable. Actual temp could actually be +/- 7 degrees.

#2 47C is a pretty nice temp. I wouldn't sweat it too much.

Ok, thanks for the replies; I will try swapping with a known to be good PSU.
Even if the MOBO is brand new, could it have a damaged audio jack?

Yah, mobos can arrive DOA too.. They can have all kinds of problems.

They're suceptable to the same problems that anything "new" is.

You SURE it's a problem with the onboard audio? Have you tested it with a pair of headphones and a known stereo source?

How do you know it's mono? What happens if you move the mixer fader left and right, does it do anything at all?
