can't get on my network

Just bought a new laptop and I’m trying to get online through my existing wireless router. I believe I’m entering the right network key but it just sits in pending status. I think that the key might be wrong. I really don’t want to reset my router. Does anyone know how to find a network key?

You should find it in the admin controls of your router but you'll need to log in using a computer that's hard wired to the router.

Not all routers show you the key for security reasons. Worst case reset the key.
