Asus.... Driving me crazy. Website is slow as christmas.
AWDFLASH...Driving me crazy. I do not own a floppy any more these days and I am trying to update my BIOS. I can do everything however it will not update unless I backup existing BIOS. Well guess what, without a floppy I can not write in DOS to anything I have. The HDDs do not show up and the CD will not write in DOS (duh!). Therefore I can not update my BIOS.
I have found no physical way to update my BIOS from CD without Floppy when HDDs no show in DOS. Im not sure why the HDDs are not there in DOS except they are NTFS (prob something else).
But with AWDFlash.exe ... they have a y or n question for backup existing BIOS ... but the n doesnt work and I can not use the y.
Just my RANT thanks for listening...Im sure I will figure it out ...but right now it really pisses me off I have spent over 15 minutes to update a BIOS and have nothing.

How hard is it to keep a floppy on the shelf even if you don't install it?
I would personally not build a system without a floppy. You can't eliminate it yet (controller Drivers for WinXP install, BIOS updates, Ghost boots).
I keep a USB Floppy drive in my repair kit for this reason.
