Hello everyone AGAIN !!!!!!
I have been told that my inability to connect to a variety of sites by firefox/IE but not with AOL browser is down to a probable firewall problem
I have an Addon GWAR 3000 modem/Router and Need some help (Thats a surprise !!!)
Anyone want a MSN chat about this or feel free to email me

Disable all firewalls software and hardware. If that doesn't fix the problem then it's not a firewall issue.
Have you tried bypassing the router to make sure it's not a router issue (connect the computer directly to the modem and power cycle the modem and reboot the computer)?
HOW are you using AOL - dialup or broadband? If AOL is working via broadband it's going to be affected by a firewall same as any other browser so I doubt it's a firewall issue.
The big difference between AOL and using another browser is that AOL uses it's own DNS server. IE and Firefox will use your ISP's DNS server, so my suspicion is that you're having DNS issues. Have you spoken to your ISP about this problem?
Have you checked the HOSTS file to see if it's compromised?
As a test to see if it is a DNS server issue you can manually configure your computer to use an alternate DNS server. Some good alternate DNS servers listed here: http://www.broadbandreports.com/forum/r ... 5#13155426
