OK ... I need help in a bad way.
I have always installed windows and used the administrator account. Today while showing my wife how to setup user accounts for her work computers I setup a temp accont on my computer. Now, I can not use the administrator account. When I go into user account setup I only see guest and the new one. NO ADMINSTRATOR ! !
Now the one I setup does have admin rights...but all the settings and desktop stuff I was using is gone.
How can I delete this account when it is the only one the computer shows.????

Administrator NEVER shows up in the Users. You can only modify administrator from the Administration Console->Users.
Admin also never appears in the user list on bootup in the Welcome Screen UNLESS it's the only user on the system or you boot into safe mode. XP never wants you to actually use the Admin account.
However if you disable the Welcome screen in user settings, then you get the old Windows 2000 type logon which allows you to type in ANY valid user including the Admin.
This is basically a security feature of WinXP to prevent users on a corporate network from logging on as administrator unless you know what you're doing.
