Anyone own a MP3 player?
I've a Dell DJ30 - plenty of storage and is pretty much a cut and dry MP3/WMA player.
No frills but the price is great - $200 when on sale.
That combined with a nice Sony cassette adapter makes for a great commute in the car - only $17 shipped at Buy.com
Don't bother with most FM transmitters - the overall sound quality is much lower than that of a decent cassette adapter. When driving through large cities, you'd have a hard time finding a free and clear frequency (I do in Chicago) not to mention the weak signal that you already have being overtaken by other stations as you drive.

I have a 3G 10g Ipod (almost 2 years old now) that I haven't used in a while. The battery on it has completely died, so I have to use an external battery pack with 4 AA's if I want it to work, which makes it too bulky to carry around everywhere. Anyone interested in buying it cheap
? My next unit will probably be an Iriver.
Welcome to the machine.
you know, you can easily replace the battery in the iPod ...
there are lots of aftermarket vendors for that now

I forgot about this thread.... That Samsung MP3 player crapped out on me about a month, so it went back to Best Buy... And one of the main things that stopped me from buying an iPod was the battery, but now thanks to chottoED, I see I can buy a replacement without paying Steve Jobs for the pleasure....
Now which should I get - an iPod mini or the Creative Zen Micro...?
