GeForce 440 MX on a Win 2K box. I go into the advanced diplay properties section and enable clone view with TV as primary display. Connect TV to video card using an S-Video to composite (RCA) adapter and hook directly to yellow port on TV. shut computer down, turn tv on, reboot computer, no TV-out. Click on detect disp[lay and TV is not detected.
Can't get it to work, fiddle with PAL/NTSC etc. and no dice. TV does not have S-video, so must use adapter.
Any suggestions, useful links, etc, would be appreciated.
Thanks guys...
Can't get TV out to work.

I just bought a mx4000 and in the drivers section there is a force tv option. I did that even when i had no tv hooked up to it and I guess it worked... cause then i took it downstairs and hooke it up to the TV and it worked fine. But before i took it down i hooked a monitor up to it to do some last minuet checks and the monitor would not work after windows started. Im using current drivers as of thursday.

75 Ohm?
Some TVs don't provide the 75 Ohm gain (?) that's needed for the Vid Card to see the TV. You may have to hook it up to an RF Modulator to get it to work. That's what I have to do to use my TV with the computer.. GL

I've seen some dual monitor setup on Nvidia cards where it is trying to output the second display to an incorrect display. If you go into Desktop Properties > Advanced Tab > Advanced Button > Nvidia Tab, there should be some type of dual-monitor setup that allos you to select which displays are used in dual-ouput. You have to select you monitor and TV to get it working correctly.

On my laptop which has a Geforce chipset, I have the NVidia Media Center icon in the taskbar (latest drivers). Only way I can get the TV out to work is click on the Media center Icon and if the SVideo is actually connected to a TV there will be an option to "Clone Display" or something like that. The option is not available if the s-video cable is not connected.

Are you hooking it straight up to the TV? Have you tried the above yet? If you're going straight to a TV, this may very well be your problem. Hope you get it figured out..

Try plugging the video into a video deck if you have one. It may present a load if the TV doesn't.
I don't think that's your problem though.
