any way to turn off lan computers remotly?

any way to turn off lan computers remotly?

hi all just wondering if theres a way you can turn off a LAN computer, from another computer on that LAN, i tried the shutdown thing in window XP with the command //computername, which didnt work anyone got any ideas?

if the target pc is XP...then just use remote desktop and shut it down. easiest and no 3rd party software needed. :)
