TAMPA - (AP) -- Angry relatives of a 14-year-old girl on Thursday detained and beat up a man accused of stalking the teen, police said. The man was then charged with trying to abduct the girl.
Investigators say the girl had seen the same man drive past her school bus stop several times recently, sometimes talking to her. On Wednesday, she reported that he stopped and asked her to get in the car with him. She refused.
The girl's father and uncle accompanied her to the bus stop Thursday morning where they spotted the man, identified as Alfredo Rivera, 45.
They said they tried restraining him as they called police and a scuffle ensued. When officers arrived, his face was bloodied, police said.
He was released later to the Hillsborough County jail, arrested and charged with aggravated stalking and attempted armed kidnapping.
Police found a knife, duct tape, and pillows in the back of his Saturn station wagon.

If I would have seen this stuff that would have been the end. Alfredo Rivera would have served his time in the morgue. Sad thing is he didn't do enough get life, he'll be out eventually and somebody may not be as fortunate the next time.
