new addition to the family

Post by b-man1 »

i just picked up a pretty big boy...a 300GB maxtor drive (7200rpm / 16mb cache). pretty good deal @$149 (had a local CompUSA pricematch an Office Depot sale). it's super quiet too...seems to run cool as well.

hooked it up w/ an external USB enclosure (kind of defeating the 16mb cache benefit...but i just need the space).

now i have the following by usb enclosures:

200GB seagate (nice 5 yr warranty :) )
200GB western dig
250GB western dig
300GB maxtor

internal:

72GB 10k rpm raptor (boot/system drive)
60GB western dig

i'll be getting rid of the 60GB and 200GB ones...not needed really. i'm trying to consolidate mp3 and dvd data and clean out the unused ones.

When you do get rid of them how much would you be looking for for each or what in trade?
