Is any one using any of the VIA Beta drivers I have the 4.25's installed now but I see they 4.26,4.27,and 4.28 Beta drivers available. I have learned the hard way about Beta video drivers but what about the VIA 4 in 1 should I steer clear of them as well?

Hmmm, beta drivers for a HDD controller and other key system resources...? I think the answer is a definate YES you should steer clear on that one. If you value your data only use offical releases.

I'm using the 4.27's. I've had no problems with them.

Lol @smb! :D I am using the 4.28s and am having no problems. Upped my performance on my radeon about 5fps in Q3 10x7 everything maxed out too.

OK call me a wussy but I think I will stay away from the beta's. I read at another forum that some people are having trouble with the bus masters of the new drivers mostly with Win 2000. Thanks for the relpies

I think the scsi "bug" is more the fault of the promise controller. when you install it, it lists the controller as a scsi device, even in win98.
