OT: What happened to all the old timers (ie Underclocked, Golfreak, etc)??
Shame I'm not close enough to the Chicago area to meet any of you guys (or go to the lan partys). Might trek out that way some day.
I definitely remember when this place was more hoppin (even for the little while I was part of AGN). Can't imagine where everyone went. I mean, I of course browse the Anand forums, but I always come back here and prefer the less competitive atmosphere.

I'd love to know what happened to the Canadian PCA contingent! It would seem most of us have just vanished without a trace. I still check in, if not post, on an almost daily basis just to see what's up, but gone are the days of the Ukrainian PCA Posse. I haven't heard from Plucky in a while either. The Canadian forum, as of late, has been very, very slow.
Yeah, even though things have slowed down here, I always post a FS/FT or WTB here in addition to other places and usually give the folks here a priority. The community here (and at AGN) may not be the biggest, but its always been the best. That's why I'm posting all my gmail invites here. You guys are the ones I want to give them to. I've never been a heavy poster, but I've been hanging around, doing some deals and posting now and again since the dawn of time.

Ah, the good old AGN days.
The names in this thread I somewhat recall, I'm sure I've dealt with half dozen of you guys at one point or another. Still remember what a pain in was back then to get people to do cross-border trades with us Canucks. Probably still is the case regardless of which forum we go to.
The Cdn forum is swamped....with flies and crickets, lol. A lot of people moved on.
Yeah man, glad that renovation guy is gone, he's such a dickhead
j/k!!! Please don't pluck my feathers bellringer!
Used to be so stuck to the FS/FT forum, looking for deals to be had, whether I needed it or not. My trading has slowed to a crawl, or more like a standstill. Computers just don't interest me like they used to. Used to actually be happy I fried a cpu/mobo during an overclock attempt, that meant it was time to move on to something better. Fried my Celeron 266 trying to do the tape voltage mod. Went out same day and got me a Celeron 366 and upped it to 550mhz. I was so happy at that accomplishment and ran a lot of 3d benchmarks.
Viperoni I recall buying the RadeonES from. Even helped him collect something like $1400 from his group buys at that time. Amazing how some people can have such faith in strangers over the internet.
Nexus_7, how are those bunnies of yours coming along? Remember you posting a thread about them long ago.

The chant used to be upgrade, upgrade, upgrade. Hell, the last time I was in my case was about three months ago, to clean out the dust bunnies. I'm still running the build I did a year and a half ago. AGH! I'm bad though!
I've got most of the fixin's for a new SLI box (Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe), and will have the board here tomorrow. >? I'll play with this one for a few days, then flip the board and get an Ultra version of the nf4.

My first pc forum was with Anand's site, but that was way back in 97 when he was only 14, and use that old style type forum (don't remember the name), where there were no categories. After about a year, I found AGN from 3 Finger's Forum and signed on.
I quit posting at Anand's since they went to fuse talk, as my handle was already taken and I could not get it back. The mods told me "to bad". What a way to treat a long time, and one of the original members when I signed up way back in 97. I only go to Anand's for selling or buying of pc parts. Russ tried to get my handle back also, but the mods would not allow it.
