AGP Question using my Radeon 9600

I was just chekcing some settings in the advance section of the graphics properties (right-click on desktop), and noticed this:

Under the Options tab - details - the current bus setting is 0, and it has bus type agp 1x 2x 4x. Why is it set to zero?

The date of my drivers are 8-3-2004
driver version 6.14.10.6467

On the Smartgart tab, the set agp speed is currently off. I manually set it to 4x, but after a reboot, it's back to off. Why?

My mobo is an Asus P4PE.

Hehe - dummy me. I never installed the Intel chipset drivers when I installed XP Pro. I went into device manager, and I had zero problem there so I never even thought about it. Jeez...

It's now set at 4x.

i have same problem only im using amd 9200se card and i dealt with that for a while and was told just to leave it that it was reading 8x by default since my monitor works it has to be reading the card at 8x cause my slot and card are 8x products?????)*

what can i do to get the tab to stay at 8x??

i dloaded new driver for bios and that fixed it thanx for the advice WV
