i know some of you dont like tigerdirect but i got a battery from them for my laptop for 50%off the mfg price. it wasnt an ibm battery eithier. its an amstron. had it 3 months and so far no trouble at all. this is somewhat off topic but i read you can rebuild laptop batteries. you just replace the li-ion cells or what?

Laptopsforless.com has good quality for a fair price. That's where I buy most of my laptop parts.

i've always bought mine on Ebay, but that's probably because I buy a lot of my stuff on Ebay, lately ;)

Just whatever you do, never buy retail again - that's my motto...unless I need something TODAY.

Problem with Ebay is you don't know for sure if you're getting new, and even if it is it may have been sitting around a while. Batteries have a limited shelf life whether you're using them or not, the chemicals break down. They break down faster when stored in a warm environment.

Try here. I came across this place tonight while shopping for a laptop PSU:

http://www.simplemicro.com

They have an excellent Reseller Rating:
