Looking For :

Post by eGoCeNTRoNiX »

2x32MB OR 2x64MB sticks of Laptop Memory that look like this :

It's impossible to find this stuff. My question is, the long notch on one side, do you think that I have to have this long notch for the memory to work? Or would any lappy memory from this timeframe work?

Thanks Guys!

It's EDO, but all the other EDO I've seen doesn't have the long notch. I'll have to take a closer look at the memory as it's seated in the lappy when I get home. I'd really like to up the memory in this poor old beast from 32MB to 64MB lol.. Would make a world of difference on the P200MMX :P lol.. And yes, I still use it from time to time even though I have to tote around an external keyboard because I lost the clip for the connector on the internal one.. heh.. :D

The reason for the notch is so the pins line up correctly (data & power). Alot of the Pentium series motherboards have those.
