Well, I've decided to take matters into my own hands. The local shops around here want $50 just to look at it and tell me I'm looking at around another $100 for the repair. A few of the guys I work with say they've replaced theirs and it was not hard. SO, I've decided to do this myself. I have located it, and I'm not in the process of figuring out exactly how I'm going to remove it. I guess I'll need a de-saudering iron. So once I have that I'll get down to bidness (maybe tomorrow night) then once I get the old one out I'll go hunting for a new one. Any words of wisdom for me before I dive in? It's been unplugged for a week now, so it should be discharged of all it's reserve power. Any ways to test it to make sure? If there's something I'm overlooking about this, please let me know.
TIA

It SHOULD be discharged but I'd make certain. There's an old TV repairman's trick. Use a jumper lead to connect a flat head screw driver to ground. With the monitor turned off, slip the blade under the rubber anode cap on the tube until it touches the wire inside. This will discharge the flyback. On a recently turned off monitor you'll hear a distinctive POP.

he he.. :)
Thanks FP, that's what one of the guys at work told me to do. I didn't hear anything.
I called my dad, who I forget to call half the time about these things. He's got a degree in electronics.. Go figure.. He said to try cleaning it off first, I did that and it still squeals. But I noticed that it's not squealing from the Flyback Transformer.... It's squealing from the lower right corner of the CRT (or that area).. I'm not sure how much further I should go with this. I may end up just putting it all back together and biting the bullet on the repairs. Then again, I may not.. Not sure.. Would the FBT being back cause a noise in a different part of the monitor?

Well, it's out of the box so to speak. Removed the FBT, now I'm on the hunt for a replacement. Only thing I've managed to find as far as a part # is : 303AYH 3LI026 or on a sticker : 334P04202 and under that 422.2.16 I've been looking high and low on the net and not found anything.. I've got an old TV in my closet that might just need some taking apart.. heh.. Anybody have a good place to get these? Or should I just take it to one of the shops and hope they don't gouge me?

Well, I guess I really don't know.. But it's gonna be a real PITA to get to the area that the squealing is coming from. I actually found another 21" monitor for $120 so I went ahead and go it. I'm going to take this one and put it in my spare room and take it apart slowly and piece by piece and see if I can't find the culprit. If I do, and I fix it, then I'll have some really nice Dual 21" loving going on, if I don't, then I've got a dumpster right down the hill for this thing..
