It wasn't "Braveheart" it was "U571" and I only felt it would have been better if they waited until after the guys who actually did it had died before writing them out of history. "Braveheart" is mostly pure fantasy and makes no claim to be otherwise. Obviously the changes to "U571" were made for commercial reasons as it made no difference to the story. Objecting to something like this isn't IMHO anti-american in the same way saying that I really love the film "Momento" isn't pro-american either. If films are going to depict historic events then they should make a significant effort to be accurate, I don't think that THAT viewpoint is anti-american either.

If you took that "Darkheart hates the US" chip off your shoulder and read my posts you'd see they arn't anti or pro US and the view expressed are probably those held by some americans who wouldn' t think that expressing those views was unpatriotic or anti-american. I think this is something that's snarled up in your head, every time I critise anything you assume I'm knocking the US, everytime I say anything positive you assume it's against the US.

I can't believe your still obessing from some thread on another forum, what 7 years ago? Get over it, I've totally forgetten how that thread started or what was said, in any case that forum died off ages ago, so who cares?. I've moved on, I do a different job, I got married, had a family and done 1000's of other things, it's been a busy 7 years, I look in here now again just to see how things are going. I think in future I'll give it miss.

I certainly recall that thread about you two gentlemen wanting to be mod.
.........What, at AGN MANY years ago? Who now cares? I've certainly forgotten all about that as I have about MOST things I've ever said from years past. It's all history now and none of it now matters. I know that some here actually saved that stuff but not I.

kerry voted against nearly all the environmental bills he got infront of him

And he voted against adding more ethanol to gasoline?

Please point me to your sources. Some Bill numbers and dates would be helpful.

I'd go over all the twists you made, but why bother further.

Best idea I've ever heard from you. :)

Where was I "obessing" over that one thread where you wanted to be mod. I was making a point. In initially denying it, it was like you called me a liar. But it was you who lied about it. Have a nice life.

at least bush paid out for alternative energy research
Oh THANK YOU George W Bush for that token gesture! In exchange for that he set back environmental policies in this country 20 years.

Like I've said before, I'm no Kerry fan, but I've seen what Bush can do... and I'd vote for his FATHER (who I consider a true statesman) before I'd vote for him.

proof?
'Scuse me while I cough up my coffee. You're not SERIOUS are you Sov? Bush has been ANYTHING but pro-environment. More like anti-environment (okay to be fair, pro-business at the expense of the environment).

Rolled back fuel standard deadlines, wants to drill for oil in ecologically sensitive areas (hey his own brother is fighting him to prevent goverment drilling off the Florida coast - way to go Jeb!), rolled back EPA standards for dozens of industries, systematically undid much of the positive environemental work of the previous administration in the name of helping the economy...

Here's a nice list in chronological order: http://www.nrdc.org/bushrecord/2004.asp

Although I'm sure you'll just label that website as the product of some eco-terroist group, Sov.

I live in Florida - SOOO funny to watch Jeb Bush battle the attempts of his brother's administration to increase drilling off the Florida coast. I wasn't a Jeb Bush fan when he came into office, but he's done alright by us.

Ummm... yeah, well any pro-environment site would be now wouldn't it?

I did avoid posting a link to Greenpeace which even I'd agree is on the extreme fringe.
