This is nice camera. For upgrades S500 from canon which is similar with 5 MP and has most the the new features.
Checkout dpreview.com or stevesdigicam.com (I hope I typed it correct) for reviews on these camera - dpeview has nice forum.
For pricing you may want to check some deal sites like dealsofamerica.com so with coupons or so you can buy it for cheap.
