i was there twice. friday night for about 45min, and then again saturday mid day for about an hour.

Didnt stay longer, cause the place was full, had out of staters with me, and other stuff going on.

Yea, you were standing behind me Friday when I was getting owned in ut2k4. And i thaught i saw you Saturday when i was going to get some food but i wasnt really paying attention. oh well.

I think it would be kickass if the LAN was held on Labor Day weekend.

there wasn't enought room in that best western meeting for the group that arrived with nexus -
plus it was to dam hot both times we came there !
also thats a nice computer you had there ! and you were one of the lucky ones to be by the air vents !those behind you had to drink all the bawl that they could to stay cool !

hope you won or got one of the gifts nexus brought over !

Thanks. My case isn't done yet. I'm too lazy to add the water cooling.

And yea, that air conditioning was nice

And yes i got one of the mice, thanks nexus. Can i still get one at the PCA LAN for buying a raffle ticket or whatever the deal is?

Anyways, I wanted to chime in my 2 cents in real quick and then be done with it.

My brother, his son, and I went to the Planned Chaos event and arrived there sometime Friday night. Since we heard that the signup was low, we didn't register on their site, and then again for the event, we thought we could just crash the party. Well it turned out that a lot of people waited until Friday morning to even sign up, and that registration closed early afternoon anyways. So when we got there, they were booked. Mr Hentia went ahead and gave a couple of seats for the night and we were able to game with the locals that night and the next morning. That afternoon we left before anybody else showed up and went over to Gregs house.

Man, does he have a nice house. Let's put it this way, my wife calls me her little computer geek pack rat, and I have to say, I felt at home at Greg's. We got there and chilled for awhile, and then we went to to a local store and brought some grill'in eats and went back and had a cookout. MMMMmmmm, mmmmm, good.

Anyways, a full belly and some sleep deprived hours add up to sleepy time, so my and my brother went and camped out on the floor for some much needed z's. We woke up to, I think, Greg's mom putting blankets on us. GREG!!! TELL HER THANK YOU FOR US!!!

Anyways, after we got up after our naps, we games and umm, sycnronized files whereapon Greg got sleepy. We could have spent the night, but we felt that the last thing Greg needed to listen to while sleeping was my snoring, and being we just had our naps, we took off for the respective houses.

I just want to say thanks everytbody involved in making this as great a weekend as possible, and also, to all the great people I meet, it was great meeting you all, and finally putting faces to the invisible web presence.

I'm looking forward to the rescheduled LAN. I just hope it's not on the week of AUG. 15th b/c I will be at Wisc. Dells. I am really looking forward to that LAN.

I guess I will just have to cross my fingers lol.

Black_Knight & I hope that it will not be the weekend og August 28th - 29th because we have to volunteer our time for the seniors at the Will County Fair or the weekend of September 17th - 18th because our dog club is holding the A.D.B.A. Nationals in New Lenox this year.

Cool, other than my trip to the Dells I think I got a good chance of going. I will be checking the forums and my e-mail from time to time to see if anything has been set in stone.
