I Robot

Post by Executioner »

Saw this today, and before seeing the movie, critics were saying it was boring until the last 30 minutes or so of the film. I thought it was OK, but Will Smith was probably not the right actor for this role. He just did not seem to fit in the role as detective, and his humor was at times, boring. I liked the end, where it's finally determined who was remotely reprogramming the robots. This is where the movie reminded me of 2001, where HAL goes bazerk and begins killing humans.

I did enjoy looking at Chicago in 2035, and the new electronic goodies that the movie portrayed. Overall, I did enjoy the movie as it provided great entertainment for a sci fi flick in the year 2035.

Most parts Will Smith does, he is not right for. Independence Day for example. That movie could have so much better without all the comic relief.

Funny, the book didn't have all that action.

"...but Will Smith was probably not the right actor for this role." So Will Smith didn't pull off his most challenging role yet...as a middle aged white guy. :lol

And you thought Master and Commander and The Last Samurai were "2 of the worst movies Ever!"

WTF?

I liked it until the cliches and inconsistencies got to be overwhelming. Most of the themes in the movie have been beaten to death time and time again. I know its only a movie, but please at least make some effort to make it believable (i.e. Computers control and watch every door EXCEPT the one the heroes come through etc.)

At least I didn't have to endure a sex scene between Will Smith and the female lead. That will happen in the sequel...

I Robot was the name of Isaac Asimov's books, I would hope no one payed apple to use that name. After looking at wikipedia, I think I need to read those books because this movie took a lot from them.

It's been a busy summer so I havent had many chances to see theator movies and was hoping to see this one BUT it's already no longer shown in my area. It must not have done very well? Oh well, the DVD will probably be out soon.

i liked this movie just a shame the plot was obvious, knew who did it from about half way through begining was a bit slow but the special effects helped to keep you interested in the movie. Will Smith didnt really fit in the roll as said above maby he should stick to Men in Black and make another sequel.
