i have just got my Zonet 4 port broadband router with usb printer sever, and was wondering if

hi,
The model is ZSR0104F
And i recently downloaded a firmware update from the website that i thought was for my model router, but i also recently found out there is currently no firmware update for my modle router, so my mum decided to email the company and we got this response,
but after holding it in for about 12 - 15 seconds nothing seemed to happen to the lights, so i let go and i don't think anythink happened then either, so i took the power cord out and left it for about 5 mins (is this what power cycle means?), then put it back inn.
So i attepted so set the router up again and failed, as last time my mums mate did it for us, so i think i have done something wrong, can anyone comfirm this?

But am not sure if what i have done to thr router will be covered in the warrenty or how much it will cost to fix it.

We don't have any updates or new firmware for this router model. I guess your son downloaded a wrong file and mess-up the router's original firmware. You may try to reset it by pressing the reset button at the back. You have to hold it down for more than 10 seconds, release, wait all lights are back to normal stage, then power cycle it.

If that doesn't help, you have to send it back for RMA by filling out the RMA form below. Please follow the instruction and email it to our RMA dept. at rma@zonetusa.com

Hold the reset button longer, and then let go. The ligjhts should blink like they do when you first turn the modem on, let them finish, and then when it's done, unplug it and plug it back in.
