Chassis swap, no power PSU makes sound.

Post by knightofnee1112 »

My Friend bought a new case/PSU, swapped the innardes and now it will not boot, the computer will not power on in fact.

the PSU makes a very high pitched sound, I tried it with another PSU, still made it. the Motherboard is an a7n8x Deluxe (Asus) and its green LED doesn't light when power is given.

Any ideas as to the cause and solution are thanked, a lot.

I would make sure the mobo is not shorting out on the case or the stand offs.
