I think they are trying to get it out b4 Quakecon and that would be one of the last days avaiable.

Ah well, they are designing it around single-player so the multi-player aspects will be buggy as all hell for at least a couple weeks while they patch. Not to mention it'll be awhile before we actually see some nice games using the engine other then baseD3.

I am a huge Doom fan and have been waiting for this game for some time. I would much rather ID make it as good and bug-free as possible before releasing it than release it prematurely.
