First off, I'm new here. Found the site thru Anandtech which I frequently visit but rarely post on .
I saw you were looking for a server and well I have this really old AT Full tower you could have, you just pay shipping(otherwise I'm probably just going to trash it).
I also saw a nice new cooler master case at Newegg, which I'm probably going to get for my next box.
Not a bad case there...actually with those bay coolers I mentioned will allow this to hold quite a few HD's. It also have what looks like some fan holes on the bottom back that look like it can be either drilled out, or take off to allow a second PSU to fit into it.
Still too much though. I think I am going to just either do something else as far as modding a case here, or just forget it because of the cost involved. See I really want to do this, just my cheap ass self can't see buying a case for more then 100 bucks. Especially since it's not worth it. If you had a watercooling set-up, plus it was all steel, or aluminium, no plastic, then yes maybe. But so far, everybody has that.
Best suggestion to date so far was to actually go to a local machine shop and have them build me something like what I want as far as a box goes.
And from the information I have so far, it sounds like it's going to cost me about what I want to spend.
Now correct me if I am wrong, but what is the limit of a ps insofar as being able to power HD's? I am thinking that I am going to have to mod another ps and fit it into this case as well in order to power everything.
Oh, two more things, welcome to PCA. And unless you think I can mod it to accept ATX, then I won't be able to use it. LMK

Just a raise from the dead bump since I am still looking. Also I went through quite a bit of research on some of this stuff and was hoping some of it would be of use to somsone around here.
