Wow, ATI has been cranking out the drivers here lately. The 4.4's are out now.

Improved support for new games like UT2004 and Farcry in these new ones.

Installed, done, wahhlaaa, yippide do dah, woohooo..... Not much real change though :D Its not like they somehow magically give you a whole new video card when they release new drivers, although in the past it was something close to this. I dunno I just think its getting to the point of overkill about now.

But I do like my ATI, Im an ATI kid I dont want to go GeForce, da da da da da da da da da daaaaaaaa :D

I usually don't dive on new drivers, but I installed these since they include tweaks for Far Cry which I'm playing. Seem to be working fine for me.

There's absolutely no reason for a video card manufacturer to release a new driver on mature video cards EXCEPT to support newer games. There's been a lull in new games using new video features until UT2004 and FarCry (couple of others too). As more and more DX9 games come out there will be more driver tweaks.

You're not going to see any more base improvement in performance on Radeon cards in new drivers. They've squeezed out all they can.

Occasionally they come up with some new "gimmick" they want to add (usually as a marketing gimmick) and then they'll release a new driver for that.
