Lost a 19 incher

Post by Koo Koo Mouse »

It was weird the way it went down. I had just gotten done browsing 19 inch flat panels at newegg and was tossing around the idea of getting one to replace my Hitachi 751. I think thats about the time the Hitachi began to stir with anger..
A few minutes later I go in to photoshop to screw around unaware I had upset the hatachi to to the point of displaying its hurt feelings. So Im working away, fustrated as it is because photoshop aint easy for a noob to learn. Im about to click on somthing and my yellow car turns red.. UH??
Thinking it was some ruby overlay thingy that I don't know what is, I go back a step. Still red.
I shut the prog down and realize what was white is now purple.. Oh shit..
I heard the monitor sniker as I rebooted and checked conections. No go. Lost a gun. shucks. No hope.
Had the last laugh though. I unplugged its ass and it couldn't do anything about it, and off the the dumster it went.
Awe well guess i'm lucky to have a spare comp in the other room with a 19" sony 420gs attached to it that im using now out here.

Just thought it was funny the way it died after looking at "other girls" LOL..

So was it bad for awhile begfore tossing or jst for then?

I have a problem on my main system when playing Warcraft II sometimes it'll like flicker then my colors are all messed up on the little mini map and some other places aren't quite right too. Nothing I bother with, but then all is well again latter.

Never decided what causes that. Game, vid card, monitor?

Does the same thing whenever I Alt+Tab to the desktop. Not everytime, but every once and a while.. Usually have to quite and return to fix it.

I tried a few things before I threw it, but far as I could tell it was never going to display white again. It takes all three guns to display white and if one goes NO colors (or white) that depend on a mix of three will look right.
But gotta say this Sony is soo much better.. flatter glass, vivid colors, blacker blackes. Why I didn't have the good one out here on the primary comp is beyond me.. Guess becuse there heavy and I'm lazy..

But no it can't be you monitor messing up your mini map and certain other places. Tube monitors really don't have any "brains" to pick and area to screw up and then return to normal.. They pretty much display what there given.
