WTB: Mobo for PIII-800

Post by cygnus62 »

I finally get a really fast Athlon built, only to discover that the two sims I've been waiting to run now won't run under XP.... :(

I do have a need for a separate machine running 98se, and I have everything I need, including a PIII-800, but no motherboard.

I just dumped most of the disposable cash into a pair of Athlon boxes for the theatre I'm a member of, so I'm fairly tapped at the moment.

Anyone have a reliable motherboard lying around they're willing to part with inexpensively? I would really, really appreciate it.

Thanks!

you could always dual boot the machine and give the sims the benefit of your fast machine

It's a thought, but I do need the second machine anyway -- it will be running some ham radio software and be tied into my radio setup.

However, I may consider the dual-boot option.

Thanks.
