Bios update...

I have an older P!!! mobo in my mod project, its from an HP computer and I was wondering...
if I got an update for the bios does it HAVE to be for an HP model, or can I get the MEW-AM motherboard bios update ??

I'd REALLY like to see that stupid HP splash screen GONE....

It will have to be from HP. The HP board will be a little different than a retail board.

HP bios should have a setting to disable the splash screen.

If you can't disable it, do a search for "replace bios logo" or something like that on the net. On some of the older boards you could use a universal hack to replace the mfr's logo or the Energy Star logo with your own. I did it on a couple of BX boards before the novelty wore off...
