So many users.. so little posts...?!?

Post by Karchiveur »

We Need a descusion (and i've seen this on lots)

Theres over 4k users and only about 200 post on here...
I understand that some people come and go during different seasons and such
but is there a way to strain the Poster's and the sign up and have 0 posts logged(and being on here for over 6 months).
this way we could see the real amout of users?

Or on a second though have another little counter of how many different users post each month(not total posts, but who have posted)

Yes I have noticed it getting slower around here as well. I feel like I post more than 1.23 per day like my profile says.

I am all for more traffic but I do prefer quality over quantity. I hate the flaming, bickering, and mis information that goes on in many forums that have a lot of traffic.

I get my 'fix' of fast paced message boards elsewhere. I always get sick of them after a while and come back to 'ol trusty. I know most everybody here and many people know me--it's a lot more interesting to have conversations with 'friends' rather than nobodies that could care less what your post says.

This has been a pretty slow winter. Is winter usually the time that is the busiest?

That is the way I feel Dad, I've been to several of the other forums and even have A post or Two, but I much rather enjoy reading PCA than any of the others. I'd rather it stay the way it is than become over run with people who are just here to act stupid and flame everybody.

OK, I'll pipe in.
I've been busy with my latest new hobby (collecting and restoring vintage '50s outboard motors), a new puppy (now up to 2 dogs), fixin' up the house, etc AND my 5 computers are all behaving (not ONE problem) so I'll occasionally visit this board still but havent felt like joining every thread.

I'm guilty of being a lurker as well.I used to post a good bit but between the wife and kids and working way too many hours I just dont seem to have the time to post anymore.By the time I get home I'm spent.

I just got a Blackberry 7510 so now I can at least do e-mail and web on the go. :)
