My suggestion is to dump NAV 2004 and use NAV 2003 or AVG anti virus. To many bad reports on NAV 2004.

NO activation on 2003. You install it and it works for a year. Then at end of year Symantec wants $20 to continue receiving updates for another year. If you dont pay it the software will work but you wont be able to get the updates.

NAV 2002 was the BEST version they ever made, and I tell all my customers who own it to keep using it until it's no longer supported. Every version after 2002 has been a code bloated buggy P.O.S.

In 2004 they introduced WinXP-type activation (it's locked to a specific computer).

However, if you actually own 2004 and you're re-installing it on the same machine it was originally activated on, you have every right to be able to re-activate it. I would call tech support.

You can email tech support. They don't charge for that.

Also check out their FAQ - it's pretty extensive. Has to be a simple way to re-activate if it's installed on the same computer.
