I have xp and i have 2 users on it ones an admin and ones a limited user, i can get on the user but i forgot the password to the admin how can i recover it?

No not really locked it down just i have to ask her permission to do practially anything, but how do i get around the password, its not like im doing anything bad i just wanna be able to install a game or what not with out my parents permission.

I don't think there is a way around the password protection other than a format and fresh install.

No way to do it unless you have some specialized tools, or the partition is formatted in FAT32.
