plucky most 6 speeds the last gear is normally the same ratio as a 5 speed of the same equivalent. The ratio's between gears are just shorter allowing for faster acceleration. Preludes are honda's and i'm sure it has a Vtech which needs to be wound to the nuts to have any power. My VW is the same way. 5th at 60 and i'm doing 3500 rpm's. But that is due to the tranny thats in it. A close ratio low diff tranny built for racing. I might not go over 120 but i'll get there pretty damn fast

lets see.. in the wagon it has a 4 speed auto with lock up TC. at 65 im doing about... 1600. its crazy... if i could get it up to speed and red line it im sure it would do 150+

Actually my Z has an AT, but the acceleration is only 2 tenths slow than the MT.
MT can do about 0-60 at 5.5s where the AT does it at about 5.7
I'm crossing my fingers hoping the Blizzaks get here in time before our next slow... or else it's the el-train for me
MT can do about 0-60 at 5.5s where the AT does it at about 5.7

I got myself a 350Z over the weekend! Decent deal, Touring edition w/ 3700mi. on it for $29k.
The aero package and the extra crap they spray to "protect the paint and interior" was also in there.
The minute I got the keys in my hand, snow starts coming down. During that night I was fishtailin all the way home... had one 180 degree spin out across 3 lanes (w/ no traffic, whew!). Got home drenched in sweat and almost crapped myself doing it. But my baby is safe and sound. MY GOD IT'S FAST... this is coming from a Civic owner so the change is noticeable![]()
Holy Crap! thank god you got home alright, well the z that is, hehehe, I have a civic too, saving up for the Enthusiast Z so hopefully I will not have any problems like that, what is that stuff they spray on the car you were talking about, do they do that to the Enthusiast model too?
that is offered w/ any car ... i think it's like scotchguard for the entire car..
also.. if you plan on driving ANYWHERE close to snow/ice get yourself a set of Blizzaks from tirerack.com
they retail for about $1200 w/ installation... but if you get it from tire rack, you can get it for $750 and spend $100 on mounting (spare rims recommended)
ever since the blizzaks, i've had zero problems driving in snow/ice (that isn't to say you shouldn't use care)

I live at the beach, it doesn't really snow here except for like once every few years we get 3 to 12 inches. I'm probably just going to keep stock tires until they are burnt up. I purposely don't want to get aftermarket wheels because I think it will slow down the car like it did with my civic. Have you seen any quarter mile times or reviews comparing the enthusiast and the performance models. Just curious if the enthusiast is a little faster because it has the 17" wheels versus the 18" wheels of the performance model.
